Who is DJ Dopy?

DJ Dopy is a producer from Lelystad (Flevoland, the Netherlands) whose life has revolved around music since he was a kid. What started behind the turntables grew into a sound of his own, where bubbling, dancehall, afro and urban blend seamlessly together. His mission has always stayed the same: make every dance floor explode.

The name Dopy goes back to his early years. He was always the smallest of the group, which earned him a nickname that sounds just like the famous dwarf — but deliberately got a spelling of its own. Today that name stands for energy, originality and an unmistakable style.

Inspired by greats such as DJ Moortje, Major Lazer, Chaka Demus and AfroBros, DJ Dopy brings an explosive mix of Caribbean rhythms and modern club sounds. His sets move effortlessly between bubbling classics, dancehall anthems, afro grooves and surprising edits that keep the crowd on its toes.

DJ Dopy produces and releases his own tracks — from Caribbean-flavoured party anthems to sunny summer singalongs. Every release is made with one goal in mind: music that works on the dance floor. Check the discography for all releases and stream them on Spotify.
